It's kind of funny that some ADHD kids (or ADHD-like kids) are described as being overly empathetic to the extent that we moms joke that they have an "empathy problem", whereas as kids on the Autism spectrum are typically viewed as lacking in empathy skills.

But I think the concept of "empathy" isn't always understood either.
